Our Weekend Trip!

Robert worked in Santa Barbara ALL of last week and we had planned to take a trip out to Kingman, AZ to visit Grandma and Grandpa Booth this past weekend. Well, Grandma ended up coming out here to California with Auntie Kay for a check up at City of Hope. So seeing as she was out here and not in Kingman, we decided to hold off on our visit for another two weeks when they'll be down for Easter :)
We'd rented a car (so not to put the miles on our Outlook) and had it for the whole weekend. Rob ended up having a site survey for work in Las Vegas and was going to just fly out but we thought we'd make a little trip out of it! So early Saturday morning, we packed up that little rental car, put Shrek on Rob's laptop and drove out to Las Vegas :)We got there just in time for Rob's site survey at the Red Rock Resort. That place is HUGE! We knew his meeting would take about two hours so Jack and I headed off to explore. He learned that you had to be 21 to play "all those cool games Mom". There wasn't anything playing at the movie theatre withing out time frame so Jack and his Mama went BOWLING!
Robert had the camera for his meeting so this is the only picture I got. Still SUPER CUTE!

Jack bowled a 62 with a 6lb ball and had lots of fun!

When meetings were all pau, we checked into the Mandalay Bay (which we'd never stayed at before) and of course took a nap. After dinner we went to the Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay! It was soo much Fun! We saw salt water crocodiles, sea turtles and tons of sharks! On our drive home, we were thinking about planning a trip to come back out to Calico Ghost Town (just past Barstow on the way to Las Vegas). Jack was being soo good for the drive and we had plenty of time so Rob suggested we just go right then. Why come all the way back when we were there already?! Admission was only $6 per person and Jack was free because he's under 4. We spent two hours just walking around the old mines, climbing rocks, listening to a piano man, going through the small historical exhibits and even took our own "Cowboy Pictures"!

This very well could have been Jack's FAVORITE part! Since we couldn't take the pretend gun home with us (much to his dissapointment) we searched through the two or three gift shops and finally found little toy ones for him to take home. It was very important to Jack that he get the package that had 2 guns so that he and his dad could be "Western Guys" together :) Still walking around with those things calling himself a "Rootin Tootin Cowboy". Man I love that little guy!

So we're glad that we decided to go with Robert to Las Vegas and really made a trip out of it. When Jack get's a little older, we'll take him back and show him The Strip and maybe see the water show at the Bellagio!

What a fun weekend we had together!

Mom and Jack's Date and his 3 year old Well Visit to Dr. Lau!

In LOVE with Red Mango!!

There is a new shopping center that just opened nearby. I'd heard about Red Mango on the Radio a while back when they were discussing the recent craze over Pink Berry. If you haven't heard of it, it's "authentic frozen yogurt". It tasted Nothing like ice cream, it's kind of tart and super refreshing. Red Mango has been around longer than Pink Berry but was based in Asia. Now they're comin' around to the US and I'm SOO excited. Only Kryssie could be this jazzed about dessert ;)
Our Absolute Favorite Dessert/Snack/Just Cuz Place!!
Brina and Kryssie with our fave... Original with Strawberries, Mangos and Cap'n Crunch!!
Jack's Yogurt of choice... Original with Cinnamon Toast Crunch!! YUM!
Rob keeps it simple always with Strawberries, Bananas and Blueberries <3
SOO Ono!!

The Cruise Pics part 1

The Cruise Pics part 2

Happy 6th Anniversary!

Trying to Keep up!

So...
Lots has happened with us B's since the first of the year :)
Of course, finding (i mean taking) the time to update has been scarce :(
All well, keep tryin' eh?

Jack's ever expanding vocabulary catches us off guard all the time. I can't help but giggle at some of the silly stuff he says. He's fun, fun, fun and LOVING being three. Getting bigger each day, I've finally come to terms with the fact that he's not a baby at all anymore. "Just a Kid" is what he tells me all the time.

Rob and I just celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary on January 26th! We spent a weekend together at our timeshare in Las Vegas in "the penthouse"! It was pretty rainy and windy that weekend but we still had a blast. The highlight had to be the Cirque du Soleil Show that we saw at the Mirage... LOVE! It's all set to Beatles music and was such a fun experience!! I LOVEd it ;)
Jack got to spend that weekend with Auntie Cissy and was pretty bent out of shape that he couldn't go. We just told him that we were going on a trip (didn't dare tell him Las Vegas because that's where Uncle Teariki and Auntie Alli live and how dare we not take him!) and for about a week before he continually asked me, "How come you guys like to spend time without me?" I just assured him it was so that we could really appreciate the time we spend WITH him ;)

As if one trip was not enough... The following week, we took a cruise to Baja Mexico!! We were joined by Brina, Chanda, Chris and Adriana. Originally, we had planned the trip with Cissy and Craig but poor guys were SOOO sick and the kids were too so they really reluctantly decided it would be wiser to stay home :( We definitely missed them but we're looking forward to some other Jammin vacations together this year! We were so glad that Robert's brother and our sister in law could join us so last minute!! We had a good time!
We left Long Beach on the Carnival Paradise on 02/04. We spent Tuesday in Catalina where Robert tried to kill us with a Golf Cart ;) j/k and Wednesday we arrived in Ensenada. It actually was a super sobering experience. The previous day was Fat Tuesday so there had been hard core parties in the street... It just makes us all really glad that we live where we do, where there's street sweeping and no federales on the corner with semi-automatic weapons...
The last full day was spent at sea. Just napping, eating, relaxing, eating again, napping again followed by a little more relaxing :) Got a chance to gamble a little at the onboard casino and there was a man playing the guitar on the main deck, singing 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and I totally got up and danced the hula! Right there! It was good kine fun.

While vacation was really nice, we missed our Jack Jack and were glad to come home. It's always tough to get back into the swing of things but yet another benefit of coming home on a Friday, we had the weekend too!

So there's our 2008 so far!

I'm going to try and post some slideshows... we'll see how it works out :)

Jack's New Glasses!

Last month we took Jack to the Optometrist at the request of his Pediatrician because his right eye had started to cross sometimes. Well, come to find out, he was extremely far sighted! Who would've known? I've got awful vision so poor guy was destined for it :( Anywho, as soon as we left the eye doctor, I removed my glasses and put in my contacts which I wore until Jack got his glasses today. That way we'd both go from not wearing glasses to wearing them together. His frames are awesome Converse frames that Daddy helped pick out. Jack likes them so much especially since he looks a lot like Mommy and Auntie Nini in them! Here are a few photos of our super cool guy!!
