Our Weekend Trip!

Robert worked in Santa Barbara ALL of last week and we had planned to take a trip out to Kingman, AZ to visit Grandma and Grandpa Booth this past weekend. Well, Grandma ended up coming out here to California with Auntie Kay for a check up at City of Hope. So seeing as she was out here and not in Kingman, we decided to hold off on our visit for another two weeks when they'll be down for Easter :)
We'd rented a car (so not to put the miles on our Outlook) and had it for the whole weekend. Rob ended up having a site survey for work in Las Vegas and was going to just fly out but we thought we'd make a little trip out of it! So early Saturday morning, we packed up that little rental car, put Shrek on Rob's laptop and drove out to Las Vegas :)We got there just in time for Rob's site survey at the Red Rock Resort. That place is HUGE! We knew his meeting would take about two hours so Jack and I headed off to explore. He learned that you had to be 21 to play "all those cool games Mom". There wasn't anything playing at the movie theatre withing out time frame so Jack and his Mama went BOWLING!
Robert had the camera for his meeting so this is the only picture I got. Still SUPER CUTE!

Jack bowled a 62 with a 6lb ball and had lots of fun!

When meetings were all pau, we checked into the Mandalay Bay (which we'd never stayed at before) and of course took a nap. After dinner we went to the Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay! It was soo much Fun! We saw salt water crocodiles, sea turtles and tons of sharks! On our drive home, we were thinking about planning a trip to come back out to Calico Ghost Town (just past Barstow on the way to Las Vegas). Jack was being soo good for the drive and we had plenty of time so Rob suggested we just go right then. Why come all the way back when we were there already?! Admission was only $6 per person and Jack was free because he's under 4. We spent two hours just walking around the old mines, climbing rocks, listening to a piano man, going through the small historical exhibits and even took our own "Cowboy Pictures"!

This very well could have been Jack's FAVORITE part! Since we couldn't take the pretend gun home with us (much to his dissapointment) we searched through the two or three gift shops and finally found little toy ones for him to take home. It was very important to Jack that he get the package that had 2 guns so that he and his dad could be "Western Guys" together :) Still walking around with those things calling himself a "Rootin Tootin Cowboy". Man I love that little guy!

So we're glad that we decided to go with Robert to Las Vegas and really made a trip out of it. When Jack get's a little older, we'll take him back and show him The Strip and maybe see the water show at the Bellagio!

What a fun weekend we had together!

Mom and Jack's Date and his 3 year old Well Visit to Dr. Lau!

In LOVE with Red Mango!!

There is a new shopping center that just opened nearby. I'd heard about Red Mango on the Radio a while back when they were discussing the recent craze over Pink Berry. If you haven't heard of it, it's "authentic frozen yogurt". It tasted Nothing like ice cream, it's kind of tart and super refreshing. Red Mango has been around longer than Pink Berry but was based in Asia. Now they're comin' around to the US and I'm SOO excited. Only Kryssie could be this jazzed about dessert ;)
Our Absolute Favorite Dessert/Snack/Just Cuz Place!!
Brina and Kryssie with our fave... Original with Strawberries, Mangos and Cap'n Crunch!!
