I Believe

I  believe

in being kind.

in being authentic.

in being honest.

in choosing my battles.

in having integrity.

that motherhood is a great power and with great power comes tremendous responsibility.

that my daughter will grow up expecting to be loved the way she sees her daddy love her momma.

that my son will be a good man like his dad.

I will wake up loving the same man every day of my life.

I will continue to share his love and friendship throughout eternity.

that not everyone's family looks just like mine.

that my children will never doubt how much they are loved.

I am a good friend, one worth making, one worth having, one worth keeping and worthy of the same type of friendship that I offer.

that there is no second chance at a first impression

that you will get what you give, but not always when you need or want it.

in being polite but not a push over.

in trying my hardest and giving my best.

in apologizing when I am wrong.

in not apologizing for who I am.

my husband's ability to read people. I don't always like what he has to say but he is always right at judging people's intentions and personalities.

in tipping a minimum of 20%

in occasionally speaking between the lines.

in enjoying the beautiful and savoring the delicious.

there is always room for dessert.

that there is no room to feel sorry for myself. 

in taking leaps of faith.

that my glass is always half full.

in taking the high road.

in using my blinker. 

in dancing when the music is right.

in singing at the top of my lungs with sisters.

that learning never stops.

that I will learn from my mistakes.

that I'm not one to stay down when I've gotten knocked out.

in being happy.

in making others laugh.

in laughing… really loud.

in kissing like I mean it.

in holding hands.

that I am blessed to live with, parent with, work with, sleep with, talk with, laugh with my best friend. every day.

in being physically active

in setting a good example.

in being a citizen of the world.

in caring for the earth.

in the power of love.

in always saying thank you.
