Happy Halloween

This Halloween, JT dressed up as Harry Potter (he is a giant fan... Proud nerd mom). HeaBug was a tiger. Not just any tiger though. She was Kitty Purry. The tiger from Katy Perry's music video Roar. Which is HeaBug's current and most favorite song.
Auntie Nini came over to help get the kids ready and to bring them some special treats!

We trick or treated to our immediate neighbors while waiting for Mr. B to get home from work. Our neighbors are are incredibly sweet and put together little packages of goodies for my Booth Bugs.
Mr B made it home and put on his costume so we could head to a party that we were invited to.
Mine were the only kids at the party (and they are fine with that). HeaBug went into full entertainer mode and JT shook the cape and scarf after a bit and just mingled with his IBC in hand. This guy.
We offered to take them trick or treating around the neighborhood we were in and so we went. About 6 houses in, both kids said they just wanted to go back to the Wray-Rays lol.
It was lots of fun though and the food was TASTY! I could park next to some fondue for hours, yum!
Thanks to the Wray-Rays for hosting and inviting and entertaining our minis. It was lots of fun and sure beat the headache or racing/chasing/blocking other kids from knocking yours down/inevitable rudeness that comes with traditional trick or treating haha. This was Definitely much more fun!
Dr Wray-Ray had to show HeaBug that the blood in the bathroom wasn't real. HeaBug said it could have been because she is a real doctor and could cut people and get blood... Oh this girl.
Grandpa and Oochie were at the partay too!
Rock Steady Guys. Don is borrowing HeaBug's tiger head.
That's a lot of muscles!
At some point, she hopped into their recycling basket by the door and was asking people if they wanted to adopt a cute tiger kitty.
She cracks me up.
Kids were tired when we got home. They didn't even look at their candy until the next morning. HeaBug proceeded to sort  into categories (chocolate with nuts/without, fruity chewy, chips and pretzels, hard candy...). We hung on to it for a few days and then chucked it.
Yay for Halloween!

Shannon's cute baby (and shower)

My sweet friend Shannon and her Husband just added this handsome bundle of radness to their family and now they are Three.
They are just the cutest and this shower was lots of fun! I was originally going to go alone and when HeaBug saw me dressed up to go, she asks if it's a grown up party. I told her there would be mostly ladies but it was for Baby Mason and his mom. She says, "I LOVE lady parties! Wait for me! I'll put on a dress!"
She is just too fun!
All of the LoVELy and DEElicious desserts (including white cake with lemon filling, frosted Texas sheet cake, chocolate covered pretzels and adorable elephant sugar cookies that said "thanks a ton") were done by my amazingly talented friend and cake ninja, Cakestina.

Ana and Gil tie the knot

We headed to Vegas to watch our cousins Ana and Gil get married! Here are some of my favorites from the wedding!

Chanda and John Molina. Love them. Here's their wedding

BFFs

thought his look was hilarious. navigating your way through a crowd carrying a cake. brave stuff.

We were in Vegas with the kids so we decided to take them to their first cirque show! We saw O at the Bellagio and they were amazed!
We at at Bacchanal, the new buffet at Caesars and rolled ourselves out of there. SO FULL! Vegas is always a good time, even better when we get to hang out with our Ohana.

Happy Birthday Cakestina

My gal Cakestina is having a birthday. Our school is having a fundraiser. We celebrated Cakestina at our school’s dinner night at STACKED. STACKED is so much fun. We love eating there (and it’s super close to our work so being the big fans that we are, we go often).

You order your completely customizable food from an ipad. It’s good fun and they have an awesome menu of burgers, salads, pizzas, mac and cheese, sausages, shakes, and cookie ice cream sandwiches. YUM! The concierges that take care of your table all work together. At the end of you visit, you can easily split a check, chose if your method of payment and even chose if you want to tip (if you do, and you should people, just saying… you can chose a percentage, flat dollar amount or other). The menu has so many options, gluten free, curry ketchup, pretzel bun, siracha mayo… oh man I could go on for days. Love that place and LOVE my girl Cakestina… if you’d like to know how much, I wrote about that here. We made a reservation for 25, fancied things up with some balloons and all got together to celebrate. It really was a fun night. And of course we had to sing… LOUD. Considering that STACKED has not interior walls separating diners, our lovely voices really carried through the restaurant. Lucky folks.
Happy Birthday Cakestina. Hope you feel loved beyond measure.

The Sweetheart Dance

Our super rad school puts on a Family Valentine's Themed activity called the Sweetheart Dance. Such fun. Dancing, a live band, balloon artists, crafts, a photography room, food vendors and a whole cake pop table. The last time I went to a dance in a middle school gym, we had to take our shoes off so we didn't scuff the floor. It had definitely been a long time since then but thankfully we got to keep our shoes on!
We had four tickets but since Rock Steady is in the midst of a crazy busy season, Mr. B has been preoccupied with work and the Sweetheart Dance was no exception. We did a few dances and at a cake pop for him anyway.
These cuties were in the same first grade class and they are in the same class now. I was taking a picture of JT and suddenly there they all were together. Looking at it, I wondered if they will still be friends in 10 years... When they're Seniors in High School. There are more to the group but this just happened to be who was around at the time. Doesn't it feel nostalgic? Like something they'll put in a yearbook... Something they'll look back on. I don't want time to go by as quickly as it is but I can hope that they will grow up and know the power of friendship.

We are grateful to go to such an amazing school and be part of such an awesome community.

Love Mrs B
