Welcoming home Sister Mara Anne Imbach! She has just returned from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Frankfurt, Germany mission for the last 18 months!!

So excited to see her and have her home and so proud of her service while building her faith and testimony! Way to Return With Honor Mari Bug!!

For my brother in law's birthday, we picked up two dozen cupcakes and headed out to Ontario to have some yummo Vince's (spaghetti in all its deliciousness) and celebrate. Love him so much. We were glad to get to spend time with some of our favorite people!

Christmas Morning 2012

Our awesome kiddos slept in until 8:00! In our house you can get into your stocking as soon as you want. When they ventured into the living room, they saw their goodies sitting in new camp moon chairs! These little ones pulled their chairs over to the table and we ate french toast bake. Yum Yum!

After a delicious breakfast, we got down to the business of opening gifts. (Sorry for the weird mix of pictures). From Santa, JT got a new nerf toy and HeaBug got a Pony!

Both kids got new baseball gear for the upcoming Spring Season. JT will be playing Pinto and HeaBug is starting her first season as a Rookie! They were really great about opening gifts. The rule for gifts in our house is that you can pick out any present as long as it is for someone else. It makes it fun and keeps the kids in line when it comes to the excitement of presents.

We have spent 14 Christmas mornings together. I love him so incredibly much.

After visiting the Booths, we headed to Ontario to my sisters house. This is as we were preparing to pray for the food. We have a lot to be thankful for.

We had a great time cooking, eating, visiting, talking, eating more, opening, sharing, giving, laughing, eating, singing, chatting, remembering, loving and just being a family.

Auf Wiedersehen, Sister Mara Imbach

Mara spoke in church giving her farewell before her mission to Frankfurt, Germany. Our family crowded the pews and promised to do a reverent "wave" with our eyebrows and shoulders should she start to stutter. Of course she didn't need any help. My beautiful niece Mara has been bound and determined to serve herself a mission in Germany. Why else does a Hapa-Haole girl from Spokane, Washington living in the Inland Empire, CA take German in High School?
She was on a mission to go on a mission.

We know that she'll do an amazing job and as she serves the Lord, with be held closely in His love and share her marvelous spirit with everyone she meets. She'll also represent singing the birthday song as loudly and obnoxiously as only we do.

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

 Santa dear came to visit us. We followed him on Norad to make sure we were fast asleep by the time he was heading our way. Note: Santa likes snickerdoodles.

 Pasadena In-Laws host a delicious and family filled Christmas Eve dinner. We always have a grand time eating yummy food and popping Christmas crackers.

 Many helpers this year made the evening go by so fast. The company great as was the nosh. Love being surrounded by the people you love!

 Christmas morning brought patient present opening (I don't have any rippers and tearers here). Stockings are free game as we wait for everyone to be up and ready. We breakfasted on french toast souflee´ and cinnabuns while opening gifts. We decided not to exchange gifts as adults this year but instead to focus on how much we enjoy the time of season and company of one another. I was surprised with treats from my Santas even still, what a lucky girl I am.

The Big Guy himself stopped by for a bit bearing ice cream sandwiches (you're the best SC) to take a few pictures. We then headed over to our LB Booth Family and visited for a bit before ending up the day with our Imbach Ohana in Ontario. Our tummies were SO full as were our hearts. We love this time of year. It was wonderful and could have only been better if our poor Jack Jack was feeling better. Thanks to blessings of the priesthood and lots of rest, he's on his way.
Here's wishing you and your family all the love, peace and joy of the season this Christmas and all year long. We're thankful for the love of our Savior and the opportunity to contribute goodness to the world.

Mr B and I had the opportunity to finally put our limited temple recommends to use! We tagged along with the Imbachs (who were taking the youth of their ward) to the LA temple and were honored and privileged to each get to do 10 baptisms for the dead. All y'all non mormons are at the "What the heck?!" moment... i gotcha... here ya go.
I tried so hard to remember some of the names for the women who's ordinances I was performing but the only 4 that have stuck with me are Opal, Edith, Mary and Elizabeth.
I bore my testimony in Sacrament Meeting last week and I shared the experience that we had at the temple. The last time I'd gone was to do BFTD when I was 12 or 13. We were excited to go in. We walked the grounds as we waited for the Ontario gang. Seriously, even the grass is beautiful.
We went in and presented our limited temple recommends (yay!). The girls and guys separated to go and change into (very unflattering but it isn't about looking cute eh?) jumpsuits. When we were done, everyone was in white and we waited our turn and watched the others go before us. I was talking with these teenagers and asked if they'd done this before. Most of them had and responded casually. I couldn't contain my excitement and asked, "aren't you more excited? you're in god's house, doing god's work!?"... Crazy "old" (well compared to being 15) lady ;)
I can't explain the spirit that I felt there. It was awesome.


I'm so excited and prepared to be sealed to my family this summer. I can't think of any greater gift that God could offer than eternal life with your family.
