We love the 4th of July!

This year we were spent the 4th of July at Robert's Dad's house. We BBQ'd some JAMMIN ribs and chicken and had all sorts of super yummy food as we gathered together to celebrate this amazing nation that we are privileged to live in. It was such a fun day! Jack, Abby and Judith had a blast swimming and playing with squirt guns. They were all waiting for it to get dark enough to fireworks! We played cards and ate. Listened to music and visited and had a great time together as a family. My parents came over with us which was awesome.

Nohea knawing on a rib bone! Yummy ;)

She woke up from her nap and went after my corn. I figured I'd let her taste the cob and the texture probably felt great on her teething gums

Little Booths

Here is Nohea with her Grandpa Booth! (she loves him, if you can't tell from her bib)
He tours with "Walking with Dinosuars" and so when he gets some time off, we LOVE to spend as much time as we can with him! <3

the kiddos were READY!

Finally it was time to start with the small stuff. A few sparklers and some firecrackers. Oochie (which is Lakota for Grandmother) brought back some AWESOME stuff from their visit to the Rez in South Dakota.

we lit off some loud old fashioned firecrackers!

3ft sparklers for the grown ups!

a little Roman Candle action with some help from Robert.

Grandpa and Oochie came by for a visit the next day before he had to leave to go back out on tour. We love the time that we get to spend with our family and can't wait til he comes home again! <3

Our San Francisco Road Trip 06/23-06/26

We left about 5 in the morning on Tuesday the 23rd for our vacation up the coast to San Francisco. We've been so incredibly excited about taking this trip. Here are a few highlights...

We stopped at a little beach just past Cambria in San Simeon

and next went on a tour of Hearst Castle (this is us on the bus)

The tour was amazing! only 12 people in our group we got to see a lot of the rooms/suites and kitchen, both libraries etc.

We headed down to Fisherman's Wharf for dinner on our first night in SF.

Wedesday morning we took a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory! Yum Samples!!

Then we headed to Muir Woods where we walked a few miles and spent a few peaceful hours. The coastal red woods are HUGE!

us on a giant rock!

and with John Muir :)

It was about 58 degrees at Golden Gate Bridge!

Thursday we spent the morning on Alcatraz Island

Then drove out to Dublin to have dinner with my Grandparents, My Uncle and his family <3 br="br">
Friday morning we stopped at Ghirardelli Square before starting the trip home (yummy!)

then stopped for a few hours at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

We had the best time and really enjoyed making these memories. We can't wait for our next Vackay!

Braves BBQ and Banquet

Thursday, June 18, 2009 we had our T-ball banquet/awards party here at our house. What fun we had with 10 little boys, their parents and siblings all hanging out in our backyard. They enjoyed swimming,

jumping on the trampoline

and playing on the swing set.

A pot luck brought SO much YUMMY food! We had Burgers, Argentine Meat and Sausages, Bread and Chimichurri, Pasta Salad, Bean dip, Mac n Cheese and much more! Thanks to everyone for all of their help and participation. After lots of playing and cooking and eating and hanging out... we gathered the boys under the gazebo and proceeded to hand out their awards.
Each of our Braves got a certificate, a trophy, a candy lei, a packet of pictures and a dvd of pictures from the season.

These guys started out hitting off a tee at every at bat and by the end of the season, they could each hit a pitch!! They worked hard and had a lot of fun. Robert got an amazing photo book as a coach's present and it really meant a lot.

We're going to remember these guys always! GO BRAVES!!

CJ's kindergarten sing!!

We got to attend Calil's kindergarten "sing" which was a little presentation given by all of the kindergarten classes for family and friends! He was super cute and we were super proud!
