Date night, Taste for Los Al

Taste for Los Al. A fundraiser for Los Alamitos High School. A friend had two extra tickets that we bought and MAN it was a fun and very filling night!
Once you enter the even, TONS of food vendors from the local area were set up with tasting portions. It was amazing, we had Greek, Italian, BBQ, Mexican, Asian, Peruvian, desserts galore. Oh my, I was so stuffed. It was great that there was also a direct TV vendor set up that was showing Baseball League Champ games and College Football.

We got to visit and chat away with friends and it was a really fun evening!

Totem, a Cirque Show at the Port

We have been spending so much time working that getting in that quality family time has been a bit of a struggle. BUT weeks ago I purchased tickets to go see a traveling Cirque Du Soleil show that was in San Pedro. I figured if we had tickets, we had to go.
The kids (really JT) were not looking forward to it. They had to wear nice clothes and the show didn't start until 8. They have been to see one other cirque show, O at the Bellagio.
The ushers were great and gave both kids a booster seat for their chair so that they could see better. It was an AMAZING show!! Poor HeaBug, she was so tired, at intermission she said she was just going to rest her eyes... She knocked out and missed the 2nd half! Poor thing.
It was a great family date night and the kids (really JT) were thrilled to have gone!

Taking our monkey kids to the San Diego Zoo

Months ago we decided thy we wanted to take a camping trip with our friends in the fall. That weekend fast approached and between work and family and school we just couldn't make it happen. Resigned on getting our families together still for some quality time, we headed down to San Diego to the zoo!

What a fun day, there was so much to see and we didn't even cover a third of it! It was all kinds of good fun though and afterwards we found a spot to grab a jammin' dinner!

I think anytime I include the Mabry Ohana in my blogs I talk about how cool it is that we were friends as girls and then as women and adults and how awesome it is that our families are friends. I love that we include each other in our lives. Mabry + Booth = lalalove

Bike the Coast, Taste the Coast. Mr B rides 50 miles

No lie. Months ago, Mr B and a few other guys signed up to do a 50 bike tour. Not a race, just a ride.

50 miles is a long way.

Since we stayed home to do the soccer/baseball thing, I told him he had to take lots of pictures and keep them coming in!

Thankfully my friend CJ told her husband the same thing and I got these pics!
Leyva, Rob, Wayne and Tommy.
Hahahaha duck lips
They were sore at the end. But they finished!
Great Job!! So proud of you guys!

Happy Halloween

This Halloween, JT dressed up as Harry Potter (he is a giant fan... Proud nerd mom). HeaBug was a tiger. Not just any tiger though. She was Kitty Purry. The tiger from Katy Perry's music video Roar. Which is HeaBug's current and most favorite song.
Auntie Nini came over to help get the kids ready and to bring them some special treats!

We trick or treated to our immediate neighbors while waiting for Mr. B to get home from work. Our neighbors are are incredibly sweet and put together little packages of goodies for my Booth Bugs.
Mr B made it home and put on his costume so we could head to a party that we were invited to.
Mine were the only kids at the party (and they are fine with that). HeaBug went into full entertainer mode and JT shook the cape and scarf after a bit and just mingled with his IBC in hand. This guy.
We offered to take them trick or treating around the neighborhood we were in and so we went. About 6 houses in, both kids said they just wanted to go back to the Wray-Rays lol.
It was lots of fun though and the food was TASTY! I could park next to some fondue for hours, yum!
Thanks to the Wray-Rays for hosting and inviting and entertaining our minis. It was lots of fun and sure beat the headache or racing/chasing/blocking other kids from knocking yours down/inevitable rudeness that comes with traditional trick or treating haha. This was Definitely much more fun!
Dr Wray-Ray had to show HeaBug that the blood in the bathroom wasn't real. HeaBug said it could have been because she is a real doctor and could cut people and get blood... Oh this girl.
Grandpa and Oochie were at the partay too!
Rock Steady Guys. Don is borrowing HeaBug's tiger head.
That's a lot of muscles!
At some point, she hopped into their recycling basket by the door and was asking people if they wanted to adopt a cute tiger kitty.
She cracks me up.
Kids were tired when we got home. They didn't even look at their candy until the next morning. HeaBug proceeded to sort  into categories (chocolate with nuts/without, fruity chewy, chips and pretzels, hard candy...). We hung on to it for a few days and then chucked it.
Yay for Halloween!

Pa's Pumpkin Patch 2013

We went to the Pumpkin Patch, it was lots of fun. It had rained that morning and our schedule was so tight that this was the Monday before Halloween and the only time we had to keep this tradition.

Another Fall tradition that we have is going up to Willowbrook Apple Orchard in Oak Glen to pick our own apples and make cider but due to a light harvest they stopped u-pick very early. So no apple farm pictures. Sad face here.

We go just to experience the patch. Last yer we bought a pumpkin that we carved. This year, Maga picked up some pumpkins for the kids but they still look forward to the fall atmosphere and tradition of Pa's. It's on PCH, in Long Beach. Where we are chilled when the air gets below 65 degrees. And I'd not have it any other way Thank you very much.
Magic.

Rocking the work

We survived the opening of the new Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center. Our guys have been working like crazy, round the clock, crazy, all hours, did I say crazy?!
What a beautiful event the result was though. I went down the night before to get a few pictures.
