Quick Utah weekend for friends, food and ink!

Amidst the summer madness, Mr. B and I managed to get away to SLC for the weekend. We flew out of Long Beach early Friday morning.

this was my submission to win a lifetime supply of Terra Blues chips which I think are so super yum and only ever have on Jet Blue flights. Funny right?

We walked around temple square, toured the tabernacle and the visitors centers. Talking with the Sister Missionaries on the grounds made me think of and miss my niece Mara who is currently serving in Germany!

We toured the Lion House and Bee Hive house. It was really neat and the last time we came to SLC, it was super cold and snowy. I'd seen these rolls in particular, they're called Lion House rolls... they're super light and yeasty. I wanted to try them so bad so we found our way to the restaurant to sample. They were okay. Good. The restaurant itself is housed in Brigham Young's former residence. It was pretty big as it housed the whole family. Food is served cafeteria style, which threw me for a little loop. It was tasty though, like home cooked food tasty. The pie was pretty jamming too... We also ate at Kneaders, which is specific to the Utah area I think. I always hear people talk about it so we stopped there for bread pudding and "pre dinner".
The next morning we hooked up with our dear friends the Frosties on Saturday for Mr. B to get some work done on his left sleeve. It's been unfinished for quite some time and Mr. Frost was able to squeeze us in. It was great getting to visit with our friends. We miss them so much since they've relocated to Utah. Mr. B spent 7 hours in the chair getting colored in. It's not nearly finished but that gives us another excuse to get out that way to visit our pals again.

Mrs. Frost and I have been friends since we were in Primary <3 her="her" love="love" p="p">
