The Book of Mormon... The Play

The Pantages. It's beautiful. I LOVE the old Hollywood feel inside. The ornate ceiling decorations, the carvings... back when buildings weren't just pumped out. We've seen several amazing shows here. On this night in September, we had tickets to see The Book of Mormon.

Huh? That's what you might be saying.

We're Mormon. If you know us... well... there need not be any further explanation. If you're curious, here's what we believe.

We also appreciate a good laugh.
Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused.

The play was great, we enjoyed it. We had good company and convos, we laughed, enjoyed the performance, and manage to squeeze memorable one-liners in to conversations every now and then that make us chuckle.
Man up. hehehe

Our Church is rad. Do you know how they responded when this controversial play came out? Here is there official statement:

"The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening, but the Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will change people's lives forever by bringing them closer to Christ."

And then... those smarties took out very clever ads in the play bill. "The Book is always better"... That was my fave.

We had a great time. I get it, it might be controversial to you but that doesn't matter to me.
We know exactly who we are and THAT is what does matter.
